WBO To Review the Pacquiao vs. Bradley Fight

The World Boxing Organization will be reviewing the tape of the boxing match between Tim Bradley and Manny Pacquiao wherein the depending champion Manny Pacquiao was lost with a controversial split decision against the undefeated American Tim Bradley.

According to the news report from ESPN the committee which will be composed of prominent names in the boxing world will review the match.

WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, who was ringside for the fight, said his organization’s championship committee will review the fight. He said that the committee “will meet soon” and “will examine (the fight) with five recognized international judges to evaluate the video of the match and agree to what emerges.”

The announcement of the WBO to interfere and review the decision came after the Nevada State Athletic Commission chose not to place a formal review on Pacquiao vs. Bradley fight and allowed the ruling to stand, despite protests from boxing lovers around the world.

Aside from millions of fans watching around the world who were unsatisfied with the decision the fight’s promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank questioned the competence of the judges and even doubtful with the selection process made by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Arum also seek the Nevada Attorney General’s office “for full and complete inquiry.” Bob Arum was not alone on his call to the NSAC, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who represents Nevada backed a probe into the decision. He was quoted as saying that “If an investigation makes everyone feel better, do the investigaion.” the Senator said.
